Anshuman Bhardwaj

Senior Lecturer of Earth Observation and Planetary Sciences, University of Aberdeen

I am a remote sensing professional, trained in glaciology and geomorphology. I started my career after receiving the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s fellowship to conduct my research at the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE), India. In 2016, I joined Luleå University of Technology (LTU) Sweden as a postdoc and subsequently worked there as a Senior Lecturer.

My research at LTU focused on studying the impact of climate change on our cryosphere, and also on understanding Mars surface processes and landforms. I also served a short-term collaborative affiliation of Senior Researcher (Planetary Science) at the National Space Science and Technology Center, UAE University. Since July 2020, I am working as a Senior Lecturer of Earth Observation and Planetary Sciences at the University of Aberdeen, UK. My work is divided between teaching at UG and PG levels, and conducting my independent research on all the topic which intrigue me.
