I hold a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish with Proficiency in Portuguese, an MA in Translation Studies, and a PGCE in Secondary French with Spanish (Qualified Teacher Status), all from the University of Exeter. I completed my PhD in Francophone postcolonial literature in February 2018 from the University of Birmingham. Fully funded by the AHRC Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership, my thesis reconceptualised female experiences of exile by analysing contemporary autobiographical narratives written in French by four female writers from across the French-speaking world. I am currently working as an English tutor at Université Paul-Valéry in Montpellier.
