Antonios Vlassis

Dr. Antonios Vlassis (M) is Senior Researcher at the Center for International Relations Studies (CEFIR)-University of Liège and Lecturer at the Department of Political Science, ULiege. He received a PhD from Sciences Po Bordeaux/Bordeaux University (France) in Political Science/International Relations and he did a post-doc at the Centre d’études sur l’intégration et la mondialisation (CEIM) from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM, Canada).

A. Vlassis develops an innovative expertise linked to international and regional cultural and media governance. His scientific contributions have appeared in top-tier journals in Communication studies (International Communication Gazette, Media, Culture & Society, European Journal of Communication, Cuadernos de Información y Comunicación), Political science (European Foreign Affairs Review, Politique Européenne, Third World Quarterly, Politique et Sociétés, Etudes Internationales) and in Cultural policy studies (International Journal of Cultural Policy, Política & Sociedade), as well as in leading academic peer-reviewed books (Routledge, Cambridge University Press, Sage, Presses universitaires de Rennes, Peter Lang, Presses Universitaires de Montréal).

A. Vlassis is currently working on the governance of online platforms and related issues to global governance of cultural industries and he is co-editor - with Pr. Michèle Rioux and Pr. Destiny Tchehouali - of "Culture in the digital age: platforms, norms and policies" (Presses universitaires de Liège, 2020, 242p.).
