PhD Candidate in Tourism Management, North-West University

Mr Armand Viljoen is currently completing his PhD in Tourism Management at the North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. His thesis focuses on Africa's growth potential as an international tourism role-player. Mr Viljoen completed his BCom degree in Tourism Management in 2010, his BCom Honours in 2011 and his MCom in Tourism Management in 2012. He has mainly published managerial research articles about national parks, festivals and hospitality subjects in various national and international journals. He is actively involved in various research projects organised by the Tourism Research Entity, TREES (Tourism Research in Economic Environs and Society) at the North-West University in Potchefstroom.
