Armin Lawi is an Associate Professor (Lektor Kepala) of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Indonesia. Concurrently, he also serves as a Vice-Chancellor (Wakil Rektor) for Academic and Student Affairs at the B.J. Habibie Institute of Technology, a new national university was established in Parepare City, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, in 2022. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Hasanuddin University; a master's degree and Ph.D. courses in computer science and communication engineering from Kyushu University, and a Doctor of Engineering degree in creative informatics from the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan.
