My research explores the evolutionary dynamics of zoonotic pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2, including how pathogens emerge and adapt in new hosts. I apply evolutionary models and genomics to answer questions such as: how does a zoonotic virus jump between hosts and how does it evolve in a new host?
I am currently working with Dr Sebastian Duchene at at the University of Melbourne.
