Athambile Masola

I teach at the Historical Studies Department which I joined August 2021. My interests are in Black women’s historiography, life writing, intellectual history from the 19th and 20th century, particularly the African language newspapers. My PhD was an exploration of home, exile and Transnationalism in memoirs written by Noni Jabavu and Sisonke Msimang. I recently published a collection of poetry in isiXhosa, Ilifa, with UHlanga Press.
