Barbara Pocock, a Greens Senator for South Australia, is Greens spokesperson on Employment, Finance and the Public Sector. She is an economist and Emeritus Professor at UniSA.

Professor Barbara Pocock, FASSA, AM, is Emeritus Professor in the Business School at UniSA. She founded and directed the Centre for Work + Life at University of South Australia 2006-2014. She trained as an economist and has a doctorate in gender studies.

She has researched work, employment and industrial relations in Australia for over thirty-five years with particular interests in gender, inequality and worker voice.

She has authored and co-authored numerous books, articles and book chapters, including Time Bomb: Work, Rest and Play in Australia, The Labour Market Ate My Babies, and Living Low Paid: The Dark Side of Prosperous Australia.
