Research Associate (School of Geographical and Earth Sciences), University of Glasgow

Benjamin Cohen is a post-doctorate researcher at the University of Glasgow, and part of the Solar System research group led by Professor Martin Lee. He obtained his PhD in Australia in 2007, and has worked at SUERC (the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre) and the University of Glasgow since 2013.

Ben applies high-precision chronology and high-resolution microanalytical techniques to understand both terrestrial and extraterrestrial processes. He has research interests that include: Martian volcanism, the evolution of the early solar system, terrestrial impact craters, and the timescales of volcanism on Earth.
