Ben Egliston

Dr Ben Egliston is an Australian Research Council DECRA Fellow and Lecturer in Digital Cultures in the Discipline of Media and Communications. His research focuses on the political economy of media and technology, with a specific interest in videogames and immersive media (such as virtual and augmented reality technology). He is the (co)author of three books: Fantasies of Virtual Reality: Untangling Fiction, Fact, and Threat (Forthcoming, MIT Press), Playing With Money: Videogames and the Promise of Blockchain (Forthcoming, Palgrave Macmillan), and Governing Social Virtual Reality (Forthcoming, Palgrave Macmillan).
