Research Associate, Behavioural Science, University of Glasgow

My research interests focus on the study of psychological and behavioural processes in health and healthcare. I am part of a research group at the University of Glasgow applying behavioural science to address important questions in the early diagnosis and prevention of cancer. For example, why is uptake of bowel cancer screening much lower than other national cancer screening programmes, and what can be done to increase participation? My doctoral research examined behavioural responses to lung cancer screening, including uptake of screening and the impact of screening on tobacco use. I have published my research in scientific journals and presented it at national and international conferences.
