PhD candidate in Women's and Reproductive Health, University of Oxford

Bethan is in the 2nd year of her DPhil in Women's and Reproductive Health at the University of Oxford. She works on an epidemiological study in Northern Cyprus, investigating the prevalence of different gynaecological conditions (endometriosis, uterine fibroids and polycystic ovary syndrome) and the effect they have on women (symptoms, quality of life, economic burden) as well as potential risk factors.
Prior to this she completed my MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology, also at the University of Oxford, where she spent time in Guanghzou, China investigating the role of maternal weight gain velocity in relation to infant anthropometric outcomes. She was employed at Public Health England as an Analyst in the HIV/AIDS division and completed my BSc in Biology at the University of Leeds.
