Bethany Grace Howe

Independent Researcher, Media Studies, University of Oregon

Bethany Grace Howe is a Ph.D. and independent researcher working with the Prevention Science program at the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication. As both a researcher and a transgender woman, she works to understand the effect of media-based and interpersonally communicated microaggressions on transgender people. When she's not researching she enjoys consulting and public speaking regarding these issues, particularly where they involve gender diverse youth.
