Boyd Dirk Blackwell

Adjunct Researcher, University of Tasmania

Dr Blackwell is an applied economist with specialist skills in market and non-market valuation. He has focussed his research efforts to date on natural resource, environmental, cultural, institutional, public good, and resource and development economics. He holds a PhD in the Economics of Coastal Foreshore and Beach Management from the University of Queensland and is President of the Australia New Zealand Society for Ecological Economics. By mentoring and leading research teams in multi and trans-interdiscilpinary approaches, he helps solve problems of global significance.
