Bree McEwan is an associate professor at the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information, and Technology where she researches the intersection between interpersonal and communication technology. She is the author of Navigating New Media Networks: Understanding and Managing Communication Challenges in a Networked Society and the forthcoming Interpersonal Encounters: Connecting through Communication. She teaches courses about and in virtual reality and is an Associate Director of the University of Toronto's Data Science Institute.
