Bridgitte Swales

Lecturer, Health Science and Sport, University of Stirling

Bridgitte has an enduring commitment to all things strength. She has a proven track record in teaching, coaching and lifelong learning in academic, commercial, competitive sport, and military environments. Bridgitte advises on physical activity, health, and wellbeing for high-performing organisations, teams, and individuals in business and elite sport. She is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach and works with the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) as a tutor and assessor.

She is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Stirling, researching 'Resistance training for frail older adults: effects on multidimensional health' and is an active member of research groups in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport. Her broader research interests are in physical activity, health, and wellness across the life-course with a specific interest in the development and maintenance of strength.
