Ailsa McKay Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics, Glasgow Caledonian University

Caitlin McLean is Ailsa McKay Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics and a member of the Women in Scotland's Economy (WiSE) Research Centre. Her current research explores the potential for a Citizen’s Basic Income (CBI) to contribute to greater gender equality.

She recently completed a PhD in Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh, where her thesis compared childcare policy and provision in the US and UK. She has also contributed to collaborative projects comparing childcare in Europe, including an international review of childcare provision published by the Scottish Government and more recently, the Edinburgh section of the wider EU-funded project “Families & Societies”.
