Carlos Crispim Junior

Associate professor in electrical engineering, Université Lumière Lyon 2

Carlos F. Crispim-Junior received the bachelor's degree in computer science from Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, Brazil, in 2006 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2011. From 2011 to 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with INRIA Sophia Antipolis, France, and since September 2017, he has been an Associate Professor of computer science with Universite Lumière Lyon 2, Lyon, France. He is the coauthor of three book chapters, 11 publications in international journals (TPAMI, PRL, Sensors, JAD, IRBM, CompBioMed, Gerontechnology), 15 in international conferences and workshops, and one registered, free software for video tracking and behavioral recognition on laboratory animals.

He launched in 2019 the research project AutoBehave which is a partnership among LAET, LESCOT, LBMC, and LIRIS laboratories. Its goal is to investigate the behaviors of passengers of autonomous vehicles during daily trajects using a multi-sensor approach. This project is funded by the grant "Pack Ambition Recherche 2019" from the region Rhône Alpes in France.
