Catharine Chambers is a PhD Candidate and Vanier Scholar at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on infectious disease epidemiology and vaccine-preventable diseases. Prior to starting her PhD, she was the Epidemiologist responsible for influenza and emerging respiratory pathogens at the BC Centre for Disease Control, the province’s lead public health agency. She recently completed an introductory course in science journalism at the University of Toronto.
