Cathy Tissot

Catherine Tissot is a Professor of Education at the University of Reading, Institute of Education. Working with the Local Authorities in Berkshire in 2009, she led the creation of the University’s SECNO accreditation programme and is still active in teaching this course and others on special needs. Currently she is the Head of School which trains over 450 teachers and Early Years practitioners every year. We are proud to work closely with local schools and early years settings to help train the best teachers and so many remain in the area and work in these schools and settings.

Her research interests are in the areas of autism and developing a sexual identity and is the parent of a young man with autism. Believing strongly in the value of giving back to society, she is also a Trustee of a local school for children with autism.
