Dr. Chad London was appointed as Mount Royal University’s Provost and Vice-President, Academic on Jan. 3, 2023. Before this appointment, Chad served as the Dean of the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan since 2016.

Dr. London is a Professor in the Department of Health and Physical Education. He has taught and conducted research in the areas of leadership, communication, and sport and recreation management. His current research focuses on understanding how universities can enhance the well-being of students, faculty, staff and the broader community.

Chad has a rich 20-year history with Mount Royal, during which he was recognized with distinguished teaching and leadership awards. He was first hired as a faculty member in 1996 and went on to become Chair of Physical Education and Recreation Studies. Chad then spent eight years as an Associate Dean in the former Faculty of Health and Community Studies, before serving as Dean of the Faculty of Health, Community and Education from 2011 to 2016.

Chad earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge, a Master of Human Kinetics from the University of Windsor, and a PhD in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary.
