Cheng Chen is from Xishuangbanna, a tropical place in China that shares the board with Myanmar and Laos. He is a conservation ecologist and his research focuses on the human impacts on biodiversity, especially on mammals. Cheng completed a Master of Science in Zoology at the University of British Columbia and is now a PhD candidate in the Faculty of forestry.
