Cheran Rudhramoorthy

Cheran Rudhramoorthy is an associate professor in the University of Windsor’s Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology. His research interests focus on the study of ethnicity, identity, migration and international development. He was a working journalist before he left Sri Lanka in the early 1990s. An influential Tamil poet, Cheran's most recent anthology, "In a Time of Burning", charts the civil war in Sri Lanka and its aftermath.
