Cheryl Heykoop

Heykoop is a Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar and Associate Professor and Program Head of the Master of Arts in Leadership – Health Specialization at Royal Roads University. She leads the Research Collaborative, Anew, focused on reshaping cancer care for young adults in BC and Canada. She holds research funding from the Vancouver Foundation, Michael Smith Health Research BC, and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, Pediatric Cancer Research Initiative. Heykoop has over 15 years of experience leading patient-oriented, participatory action research projects. Heykoop was diagnosed with cancer as a young adult in BC.
