Christina Hoicka

Associate Professor in Environmental Studies, York University, Canada

Dr. Christina Hoicka holds a B.Eng (McGill), MES in ecological economics (York), and PhD in Geography (Waterloo). Her research addresses the diffusion of low-carbon innovations and renewable energy transitions. Her research examines the scale up of just and democratic forms of community ownership of renewables; the Renewable Energy Communities governance package in the European Union; Indigenous community participation in renewable energy ownership; and the diffusion of disruptive low-carbon innovations.
