Christophe Malaterre

I am a philosopher of science focusing on astrobiology and the origins of life, with an additional specialty in the digital humanities. Research questions include the nature of life, the formalization of the transition from non-living matter to life, the epistemic grounding of origins of life theories. I also use NLP computational approaches (topic-modeling, clustering) to carry out conceptual and historical analyses in philosophy of science, for instance on the nature of scientific explanation.
