Christopher A. Frilingos

Christopher A. Frilingos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Michigan State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel HIll. He teaches courses in biblical literature, early Christianity, apocalyptic literature, and the history of Christianity.

His latest book, about early Christian family gospels, is Jesus, Mary, and Joseph: Family Trouble in the Infancy Gospels (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2017). His earlier book, Spectacles of Empire: Monsters, Martyrs, and the Book of Revelation, is also available from the University of Pennsylvania Press.
