Christopher Wilson

Senior Lecturer, University of Tasmania

Dr Wilson is an archaeologist and Senior Lecturer in Archaeology & Indigenous Australian Studies. He is an inter-disciplinary teaching research academic interested in the following fields: The archaeology of Indigenous peoples; holocene occupation and migration models for the Lower Murray River; post-contact archaeologies, contested histories; cultural heritage; and Indigenous critical studies. He has been involved with the return of ancestral remains from the Museum Victoria and UK back to the Ngarrindjeri community. Dr Wilson has taught at Flinders University since 2004 and was the first Indigenous Australian to be awarded a PhD in Archaeology.
