Constantino Dumangane Jr.

Research Associate, WISERD, Cardiff University

In January 2016 I completed an ESRC funded PhD which explored the narratives of British African Caribbean male graduates of elite UK Universities, supervised by Prof. David James and Dr. Katy Greenland.

Since November 2016 I have been a Research Associate with the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD) where I have designed surveys for the fifth sweep of WISERD Education’s large scale longitudinal cohort study. This study explores pupils’ attitudes and experiences towards education, schooling and their future aspirations. As a member of the WISERD Education team I am administering surveys with secondary pupils in schools in Mid, North and South Wales. In addition to the quantitative side of this study in an effort to augment the research findings my role also involves the collection and analysis of interview data from pupils and head teachers in these schools.
