I received my PhD in Roman archaeology from the Interdepartmental Program in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Michigan in 2020, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Classics at the University of Western Ontario. My research focus is on Rome’s eastern provinces, where I investigate the interplay between imperialism and the environment as well as provincial responses to Roman imperialism, particularly as they relate to architecture and local buildings industries. I have been a member of archaeological projects throughout the Middle East and am the Associate Director of the Humayma Excavation Project in Jordan.
