Darren J. Edwards

Senior Lecturer in Health and Wellbeing, Swansea University

My research is interdisciplinary in nature, spanning across cognitive, behavioural, health psychology and psychophysiology. I have interests in categorization and unitization as diagnostic tools for conditions such as autism and TBI. I am also interested in osteopathic interventions which alleviate pain, combined with values-based psychological interventions such as ACT and mindfulness to help alleviate comorbid mental health disorders. Finally, I have a broad interest in promoting and developing low cost preventative interventions. The focus of this is to prevent conditions such as chronic anxiety and depression whilst promoting social connectedness as well as health and wellbeing for a variety of populations.
