Chercheur affilié à l'Observatoire international sur les impacts sociétaux de l’intelligence artificielle et du numérique (OBVIA), Université Laval

I hold a PhD in political philosophy and, since 2010, I have been teaching philosophy and artificial intelligence (AI) at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Montreal. My fields of expertise are ethics, politics, social robotics, and the cognitive science of AI. As a professional researcher, I am affiliated with OBVIA (Observatoire international sur les impacts sociétaux de l’IA et du numérique, Université Laval). I also work towards the democratization of AI and robotics, and the integration of these fields into the social sciences and humanities. With Simon Dubé (doctoral student, Concordia University), I am currently developing erobotics, which is the study of beneficial erotic machines. I also collaborate with the École des Médias of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) on a philosophical project about the epistemology of intelligent objects and systems.
