David Brydan is a researcher at Birkbeck, specialising in the history of internationalism, international health, humanitarianism and modern Spain. He is a member of the Wellcome Trust-funded Reluctant Internationalists project at Birkbeck (http://www.bbk.ac.uk/reluctantinternationalists), which investigates the history of international organizations, movements and networks in twentieth-century Europe. His PhD explored the history of internationalism and international health in Franco's Spain.
