David Colquhoun is a professor of pharmacology at UCL and a Fellow of the Royal Society. He held the established (A.J. Clark) chair of Pharmacology at UCL, and was the Hon. Director of the Wellcome Laboratory for Molecular Pharmacology. In October 2004, he became a Research Fellow. His interests are in quantitative analysis of receptor mechanisms.

His blog (http://www.dcscience.net/), in which he writes scathing analysis of scientific misuse and quackery, has been described by the Guardian as 'unmissable'.
