Academic Director: Global Partnerships, Keele University

I have been working in the UK HE sector for fifty years, lecturing on international communism at the universities of Glasgow and Keele. My PhD is from Keele and examined the Stalin/Trotsky conflict in post-revolutionary USSR. I moved to HE management after twenty years of lecturing and held senior posts at University of Hull, University of Warwick, and Edge Hill University.

I publish on a range of issues including the internationalisation of higher education and the history of China. I was the Principal Editor of Perspectives: Policy and Practice in Higher Education for eight years. I am currently Academic Director - Global Partnerships in the Vice-Chancellor's Office in Keele University, UK.
