David is Professor of Tropical Environmental Change in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (2012-). Prior to rejoining NUS, he was University Chair and Professor of Geography at Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland (2001-2012). His research interests are in the human dimensions of environmental change, with a particular focus on low latitudes. His PhD, awarded in the 1980s, investigated environmental including climate changes in central Africa over the last 40,000 years or so.
