Associate Professor Emeritus of Political Science, University of Missouri-Columbia

David Webber joined the Department of Political Science at the University of Missouri in 1986, and he specializes in American public policy and politics. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1983,completing his dissertation on "State Legislators Use of Policy Information." He served as a congressional fellow with the House Science Committee in 1993 and a research fellow with the U.S. Capitol Historical Society in 1995. His academic publications focuses on legislatures, federalism, and environmental policy and politics. David has been a visiting professor at Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, and Ewha Womans University in Seoul. In addition to his academic articles, he has written op eds since 1994 and has written three plays, two about homelessness, one titled "Practicing Democracy." He blogs at Webber Rough and Polished. David has served on the local library board for nine years and is an active member of his community.
