Deb Batterham is a Post-doctoral research fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in the Centre for Urban Transitions and also a Researcher at Launch Housing - a Specialist Homelessness Service provider in Melbourne. She has more than 20 years experience working as a researcher investigating homelessness. Her work has included research projects on the geography of homelessness, the structural drivers of homelessness, the capabilities approach, risk of homelessness and prevention, mobility as well as evaluations of various programs and submissions. Her PhD thesis examined the relationship between homelessness and private rental markets in Australia.
