Lecturer in Global Ageing, University of Stirling

Elaine's main research interests are in the social and economic determinants of health, lifecourse and ageing research.

As Research Programme Manager of the Social Behavioural and & Design Programme, she works closely with the Research Director, Professor Judith Phillips, and colleagues in URKI and ESRC to deliver the aims and objectives of this aspect of the Healthy Ageing Challenge.

She is also a lecturer in global ageing in the Faculty of Social Sciences. This reflects on her work on the Healthy Ageing In Scotland (HAGIS, www.hagis.scot/) study and with other global ageing studies (g2aging.org).

Her PhD in Public Health from University College London addressed socioeconomic inequalities in cervical cancer screening. Previously, she was awarded a BSc in Psychology at the University of Stirling (2008) and MSc in Health, Community & Development at the London School of Economics (2009).
