Eleri G. Pritchard

PhD Candidate in Freshwater Ecology, UCL

Eleri Pritchard is a PhD researcher with main interests in freshwater ecology and invasive species. Based in the Geography department at University College London, Eleri is supervised by Jan Axmacher (UCL), Michael Chadwick (King's College London) and Carl Sayer (UCL).
Eleri's PhD work focusses on the invasion biology and ecological impacts of invasive signal crayfish. Introduced to the UK in the 1970s, signal crayfish have become widespread across British freshwaters, having devastating impacts on native biodiversity. Eleri's research utilises novel methodologies to better understand this extremely problematic invader, with the aim to inform conservation and management in the future.
