Elizabeth Steinway

Instructor of Literature and Composition, Colorado State University

Elizabeth Steinway is a lecturer in the Department of English at Colorado State University where she teaches courses in composition and British literature. She received her PhD in English from Ohio State University in 2018. Her research interests include representations of pregnancy and maternity in early modern literature and culture; sixteenth and seventeenth century midwifery and gynecological texts; and the narration of reproductive knowledge. She has published essays on the portrayals of pregnancy, infanticide, and kinship in early modern drama.
