Research Associate, Environmental Policy, Cardiff University

I am a research associate in environmental policy at Cardiff University in the UK. I am currently researching social science aspects of carbon dioxide removal, focusing on public acceptability, politics and ethics. My background is in political science, but more recently I've moved into science and technology studies and social psychology. I am interested in all aspects of low-carbon transitions, but particularly risk and resilience, public attitudes and behaviours, and energy policy. I completed my PhD from the University of Sussex on the topic of energy security in low-carbon electricity systems. I previously worked as an interdisciplinary researcher for Oxford University, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and the energy utility E.ON, and as an event manager for Greenpeace. I am also a keen environmental activist.
