Emily Roehl is an energy humanities scholar who holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She writes about environmental art and media with a focus on energy, environmental justice, photography, and performance. Roehl is the co-founder of artist’s book publisher Mystery Spot Books, which is currently producing a multi-publication project on the externalities of energy and industrial waste.
