Emmanuel Pannier

Emmanuel Pannier holds a PhD in anthropology. Since 2012, he is a researcher at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) within the Research Unit “Local heritage, Environment and Globalization” (IRD & National Museum of Natural History). He is also a research associate at the CASE - Southeast Asia Center (EHESS-CNRS-INALCO). Since 2019, he is hosted at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Hanoi. Working in Vietnam since 2005, his work focuses on non-commercial transfers, networks of personal relationships, and social and environmental changes in rural Vietnam.
