Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Barcelona. From Sept 2010 to August 2012, I worked as a Senior Researcher (Grant Holder 40) at the JRC-IPTS of the European Commission, in the Regional Modeling Action of the Knowledge for Growth Unit. My research interests include the assessment of the impact of knowledge (R&D, innovation, human capital) on growth and of EU policies on regional development, and the role of human capital on local labour markets (wages, unemployment, participation). I'm is familiar with econometric modelling and have expertise working with micro and macro datasets. I has received several publicly funded projects at the national level, participated in research projects financed by the EU (Framework Program and COST), and collaborated in studies for international institutions, including the European Parliament.
