Frédéric Guay

Frédéric Guay is professor at Laval University since 1998. In recognition of his commitment to the largest international research networks on academic motivation, in 2014 he was elected president of division 5 (Educational, instructional, and school psychology) from the International Association for Applied Psychology. He holds the Canada Research Chair (Level 1) in motivation, perseverance and academic success.

In 2016, he received a mention from the Whitworth Committee for his contribution to educational research in Canada. Finally, he has developed an evidence-based professional development training program for teaching staff that aims to motivate students.
