Chercheur senior, affilié au laboratoire de Parasitologie-Mycologie du centre hospitalier universitaire (CHU) de Besançon, Université de Bourgogne

Gabriel Reboux est ingénieur hospitalier (Dr-HDR) expert des communautés fongiques et de la biodiversité, avec un intérêt particulier pour l'évaluation des risques respiratoires dans les maladies professionnelles. Il possède une solide expérience du diagnostic sérologique des pneumopathies d'hypersensibilité (HP) (maladie du poumon de fermier, HP liées aux fluides de coupe utilisés en métallurgie, maladie du poumon d'éleveur d'oiseaux...) avec une activité spécifique pour de production de nombreux types d'antigènes (extraits totaux, antigènes somatiques et métaboliques, antigènes protéiques et recombinants). Il mène plusieurs études épidémiologiques sur des zones environnementales variées et revisite régulièrement les situations professionnelles pour évaluer les changements dans la biodiversité afin d'adapter les tests sérologiques pour le diagnostic. L’ensemble de ses contributions a permis de labéliser en 2021 le laboratoire de Mycologie du CHU de Besançon comme laboratoires de biologie médicale de référence concernant le diagnostic des pneumopathies d’hypersensibilités.

Expert auprès du Ministère de la Santé et de l’Anses, il a contribué sur la base de son expérience à faire évoluer les critères biologiques concernant la caractérisation des logements présentant un risque pour les patients allergiques. Il a développé une stratégie de surveillance basée sur l’utilisation des cultures, de la qPCR et l’usage des pièges électrostatiques.
Comme chercheur associé à l'UMR/CNRS Chrono-environnement de l'Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté, il a été Directeur de cinq thèses de sciences et de nombreux étudiants en maitrise.
Auteur ou co-auteur de plus de 200 publications, il est classé le 21/02/ 2024 au 16éme mondial /4008 chercheurs dans le domaine des pneumopathies d'hypersensibilité (alvéolites allergiques extrinsèques /AAE) et 48ème mondial / 9214 experts dans le domaine de la microbiologie de l’air. https://www.expertscape.com/pro_hub/our_methods
