Ph.D. Candidate in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles

Gary graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Astrophysics and Physics in 2014 and is currently a 3rd year graduate student majoring in Aerospace Engineering at UCLA. He is interested in the research and development of plasma rockets that are revolutionizing the space industry in terms of deep space travel and space science. He is currently studying the physical phenomena in miniature ion thrusters for novel micropropulsion applications such as CubeSat propulsion. Gary has also performed research on other advanced plasma thrusters at both the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Air Force Research Lab.
