Georgina is a fourth year medical student at University of Tasmania, having completed her honours research project in the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at Monash University.

She is continuing her research through Monash and is interested in nephrology, global health and open access to research. In 2013, Georgina is Co-Convening the Australian Medical Students' Association Global Health Conference. Outside of medicine, she studies for a Diploma in Liberal Arts (Philosophy) and volunteers with a number of organisations.
