Georgina Holmes is a Lecturer in Politics at Imperial College London. Her research, funded by The Leverhulme Trust, focuses on security sector reform, pre-deployment training and the integration of uniformed personnel form the global north and global south in UN peace operations. Georgina is founding member and co-Convenor of the British Institutional Studies Association Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding working group and Co-Chair of the Gender Cluster for the West Africa Peace and Security Network. She is a Trustee of the British International Studies Association. Georgina has published in several peer reviewed academic journals and is the author of Women and War in Rwanda: Gender, Media and the Representation of Genocide (2013, I.B Tauris).
